Q – what kind of photos should I send?
We do not require professional photos — clear home images are perfect. The photos you submit are important and can determine whether your child is accepted, so please follow the guidelines carefully.
Please send:
Headshot (neutral expression)
Plain background, no distractions (no dummies, hats, hair accessories). Head and shoulders only.
Headshot (smiling)
Same as above, but with a natural smile.
Full length photo
Plain background, no distractions. Clothing should be simple: plain T shirt and jeans/leggings, or a plain baby grow/vest for babies. We cannot accept images in costumes, with accessories, filters, or other people in the frame.
Applications that do not follow these guidelines will be automatically rejected.
Q – How does the process work?
A - Once your child is accepted onto Seaside Kids Casting, our bookers will submit their profile to clients whenever they match a casting brief.
You will receive a Tagmin login, where you’ll be notified of any castings your child is submitted for. You can also update your child’s profile at any time.
Castings often come in at short notice — sometimes the next day — so being available will increase your child’s chances of success.
While we would love to guarantee work for every child, final decisions are made by casting directors, clients and photographers. Keeping your child’s profile updated and following our guidelines gives them the strongest chance of being seen and booked.
Q - What is Spotlight?
A - Spotlight is the UK’s leading casting platform for young performers aged 4–25. It is widely used by casting directors for feature films, West End productions, TV dramas, commercials and more. Children can join Spotlight any time after their first birthday.
Being on Spotlight significantly increases visibility and casting opportunities, and most casting directors prefer to hire children who are registered.
Q - How can my child join Spotlight?
A - Once you are registered with Seaside Kids, you will receive an invitation link to set up your child’s Spotlight profile. You can complete the information yourself, or we can assist you if preferred.
Only children represented by an approved agent are eligible for Spotlight Young Performers membership.
